This is an outstanding avatar! Of course, all of Warren's creations are outstanding.

Aww Jezzz, this is too much! The Word Verification is lenny. That's what my mom called me when I was in trouble.
aow - check the archives if fern has the roots to leave them up - it was about the time mbc shut the doors on us orphans and fern was feeling down and was just shy of whining about a song he wrote for devo - they didn't buy it, but instead recorded the song with different words and fern's been put out ever since. that's when i named him "fern". apparently i'm the only one he feels comfortable with calling him that, but you, aow (i pronounce you "OW") and warren (who i'm still working on a nancname) may call him fern with my wholehearted approval, but and that's a big butt - any of you others call him fern and you'll answer to me! or not. not to be contrary.
uhm, fern - what do you think of my custom avatar warren's been working on - it's a contrary - can you believe that?
and, btw, when you leave me unattended in the care of warren, great things happen! i'm conjuring up a madze avatar as we speak...shhh...

I don't know the fern story. But the Devo-fern is twisted wicked, and from me that's high praise.

Apparently Nanc is the master of telling stories about how she came up with the nickname of Fern without actually saying how she came up with it.
Simply amazing. She is holding out for her book deal...

The Beaker the pet name of my younger brother. He looked like the familiar muppet. His major complaint was that everywhere he went he was known as my brother. In
tribute to my younger brother I salute him with a tribute as my pen name.
My own industry name is not printable so I used my brothers.
Thanks for the story. I think the likelihood of Islamic victories on the scale mentioned in the story is very small, because the stronger Islamists get the more united the world will become.
Both China & Russia view Islamists as a serious threat because of the insurgencies in their own countries.
Just like the alliance between Stalin and Churchill/Roosevelt, we will unite to kick their asses.
