The Democratic Party has a clear strategy for the war in Iraq. They have singlemindedly viewed the conflict as a springboard for their political ambitions to take back the White House and Congress.
Nothing can illustrate that better than the junior Senator from Massachusetts, John Kerry. As we all know he is most famous for his statement that “I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it”. This twisted remark was in reference to his vote against an $87 billion supplemental appropriation for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In an effort to woo the votes of both the far Left and the Moderates, Kerry waged the most incoherent Presidential campaign ever. The SF Chronicle published an interesting article that ends with a quote of the radio host Don Imus. A despondent Imus stated, “I was just back in my office banging my head on the jukebox, … this is my candidate, and ... I don’t know what he’s talking about.”
To top it off, the Editor added a note following the Imus quote with a promise to bash George Bush in their next article. The press always feels that it needs to be more balanced when printing anything that portrays President Bush in a positive light or gives him any advantage. Its a knee-jerk reaction in order to prove that they are not puppets for the Bush Administration. This makes them eager to “balance” any publicity that they perceive Bush could benefit from - with attacks on the President. It is a form of self-censorship that is utterly predictable among most news publications. I have gotten to the point where I actually find it amusing.
As far as Kerry is concerned, there is no position that he cannot take on the Iraq war. You would think that he learned his lesson by now, but I am afraid not:
On April 22nd Kerry spoke at Faneuil Hall in Boston. His speech focused on the comparison of the Vietnam War to the current Iraq War. He shared his vision of how Vietnam was a disaster just like Iraq so we need to admit our failure and withdraw from Iraq.
“Once again we are being told that we have no choice but to stay the course of a failed policy. At a time like this, those who seek to reclaim America's true character and strength must be respected…
…Half of the service members listed on the Vietnam Memorial Wall died after America's leaders knew our strategy would not work. It was immoral then and it would be immoral now to engage in the same delusion. We want democracy in Iraq, but Iraqis must want it as much as we do. Our valiant soldiers can't bring democracy to Iraq if Iraq's leaders are unwilling themselves to make the compromises that democracy requires.”
A little more than a month later, on June 8th, the CNN Situation Report quoted Kerry as he proclaimed a monumental victory in Iraq:
“Our troops did an incredible job hunting him (al-Zarqawi) down and destroying him, and all of America is proud of their skill and commitment.
With the end of al-Zarqawi and the confirmation of the final vital Cabinet ministries in Iraq’s new government, it’s another sign that it’s time for Iraqis to stand up for Iraq, bring the factions together, end the insurgency, and run their own country.
Our troops have done their job in Iraq, and they’ve done it valiantly. It’s time to work with the new Iraqi government to bring our combat troops home by the end of this year.”
This is the same John Kerry who stated, “This notion that we have to continue with a policy that’s wrong and taking us down the wrong track is absurd.” He also claimed that our Iraq policy was one of “stubbornness and pride”, but now he is celebrating the accomplishments of the very same strategy that he ruthlessly criticized!
So in less than seven weeks Kerry’s position in Iraq changed from demanding a US withdrawal in the face of a military defeat to demanding that the US withdraw because we achieved victory! The man is simply amazing!!!
Don’t be surprised next month when Kerry claims that he supported Bush’s tax cuts in order to stimulate the economic recovery of our country. (Who remembers the much-maligned jobless recovery?)
In any case, the formation of the Government of Iraq is a great victory and the death of al-Zarqawi will help give it a chance to succeed.
Some will criticize me for underestimating the insurgency and they would be 100% correct if I did, but that is not what I am saying... It would be just as foolish to get too excited about these victories as it would be not to celebrate them.

Kerry is a total Joke but Al Gore has the far left vote in the next election. Will the " he betrayed this country rant be an albatros".
FN, where the hell do you get these pics from?? The Ronald McDonald one is hilarious!
Beak,
Kerry is still in the spotlight and he is ambitious. Thats what "dissent" is all about. The ambition to use the conflict to seize power, write a book or to revive your musical career.
At a local protest a folk singer got up to do a song and she complained that her "anti-war" politics was creating difficulty for her musical career. I laughed! If it wasnt for her politics she wouldnt have been singing in front of hundreds of people and it wouldnt be surprising if that was the largest audience she ever played in front of. She never did explain what difficulties she experienced from her activism, but the sheep-like crowd swallowed her fairy tale without question.
MZ, the combination of Photoshop and an Internet connection can do wonders for a masochistic blogger.
The perfect graphics for this posting! I was laughing out loud over both text and graphics.
Kerry is like mercury, constantly flowing and shape-changing. Clean up the mercury in one spot, and it appears in another as it slips through your fingers.
And, remember that this is the fellwo who wanted to sit down and talk with OBL to find out what he wants. Can't get much more ludicrous than that.
...and I remember that this is the fellow that accused his former comrades in arms of genocide although he witnessed no such actions.
This is the guy who carried out illegal negotiations with a hostile foreign government.
This is also the guy who has a monument to him posted in a Vietnamese museum honoring his effort to assist their Communist war of aggression against South Vietnam.
He is first class clown...
The ONLY reason anyone should ever follow a democrat is out of idle curiosity. Gore, Kerry, Murtha, and a host of others depend on an American constituency that relies almost entirely on "sound bites" to get the news of the day. With this in mind, the negativity shown by the democrats is designed to elicit an emotional, as opposed to intellectual response from voters. Thus, "the sky is falling" strategem has convinced the most uniformed that (1) we are losing the war on terror, (2) the best platform to present to the American people is one chock full of entitlements (to hell with the likely consequences), and (3) the global temperature is rising to such a degree that we should all be dead in fifteen or so minutes.
Yes, they ARE clowns. And they apparently appeal to others of their ilk.
PS. Should I mention that none of the "word verifications" are really words? Well, at least not on this planet. Okay, maybe in the Middle East . . .
I see that I have been dethroned as the king of useless observations. You are correct that the word verifications are a lie!!! Something should be done, but I am afraid our corrupt politicians wont do a damn thing about this outrage.
Actually, I am inclined to support the Democratic Party, but I cant possibly see the wisdom of doing so under such circumstances.
Ahh yes the famous Jean Francois Kerrie- frenchman delight.
He's such a tool. And we can sleep soundly at night now, knowing full well he is preparing for YET another boring campaign for the job he has been preparing for since he was in college:
POTUS.
God help us.
Now there's an election that will make you want to start your own country:
Pick ONE:
( ) John Effing "The Clown" Kerry
( ) John "Sound-Bite" McCain
i insist on happy meals for everyone! and supersize mine!
Nanc you Communist sympathizer!
The collectization of McDonalds will be the most despicable act you ever committed (not including that other despicable act).
My vote is for Madonna in 2008. She needs the publicity and the Presidency could revive her sagging career. She didnt even make Forbes Top 100 Celebrity list this year!
This came despite the fact that she really spiced up her show. Getting 'crucified' on a giant mirrored cross, complete with crown of thorns, while images of starving children are shown on giant screens.
I guess after the Muslim cartoon riots, going out of your way to offend a religion isnt as popular anymore...
AOW, two points, one, the top photograph is absolutely priceless and two, the post is as near perfect as one can be. Perhaps the democrats will riot and try to make you apologize for the "muHAMmod kerry" photo. I'm jealous. ROFL!
take it back, fern! you know i sympathize with no one! the meal is for my dog!
Surfer,
Leftists are right about one thing. War is terrible and it would be preferable to put a stop to it.
However, if they had stopped to think for a minute that North Vietnam invaded the South and Iraq invaded Kuwait, they could put 1+1 together for themselves.
In all of history an invasion has never been thwarted by peaceful resistance (India would not qualify, there was also violent resistance that was concurrent to the peaceful nonviolent protest and Britain had been in India since the 18th century. The original invaders were long gone and the land had been subjugated for a long time.)
N Vietnam and Iraq had no anti-war movements during those conflicts. All "anti-war" efforts have been aimed at the US (and our allies) because we are the only country(ies) to allow such movements.
World peace will never happen if such one-sided politics continue.
A complete victory in Iraq will not bring world peace either. But it will ensure a peaceful and democratic Iraq that is free from Baathist aggression. That is worth fighting for. I have yet to hear a believable response to that.
Nanc you are puppy-sympathizer.
and chicken-sympathizer too...
but my dogs like mexican food!
bargholz interview at beak's - bring your own cocktail.
I see that lots of my friends and acquaintances have stopped by here: Mustang, Raven, Ogre, GM. Quite a tribute to the excellence of this posting, IMO. Word got around, I suppose.
(Nanc and Beak, too, but they are regulars to this comment section)
FN,
I recommendeded your posting here to one of my students who loves satire. He's still talking about what you've got here.
AOW,
i dont know how you do it. a conservative educator? maybe if you were an economics professor, but come on.
...those who are about to be misrepresented in the media salute you...
Great blog! Just wanted to say "hi" and let you know that I appreciate your support!
toldja fern.
If Iraq is the frontline of the war on terror then Germany is the front line of the information war.
I wish the best for your Chancellor ("the American Lackey"). There is a noticable weariness towards anti-Americanism in Germany.
Such accusation that she is a lackey of the US only demonstrates the low depths of anti-Americanism. We will not tolerate the same treatment that the world has given the Jews.
One day a person's nationality or ethnic group will no longer make them a "legitimate" target of violence and scorn.
Stick it to 'em!!!!!!!!!
Books have been written about antiamericanism in Germany. It is not a new phenomenon.
Maybe this is interesting.
By the way, don't feed that troll. He is only arguing to hurt and offend, not because he is interested in the topic. In ANY topic, for that. Trolls thrive on attention.
fern - O.T. - did you catch this at the watimes this morning?:
http://www.washtimes.com/national/20060619-011333-6873r.htm
good morning - i had the great pleasure of deleting one of your posts - we're almost even!
Editrix,
It sounds like your Ströbele character is a real winner. "Anti-war" activists are never anti-war when it is against the US or Israel.
Dont mind the trolls, boys will be boys.
Nanc,
Its not becoming for a librarian to perform a comment burning.
Thanks for the link...
FN,
i dont know how you do it. a conservative educator?
I work with groups of homeschoolers, so I don't have to be politically correct. :)
Damn!!!
I was thinking that you were breaking down the Leftist propaganda machine from the inside, but you really are an outty (my belly button is an insy, but when I was a kid it was actually an outty too!).
Anyways, there was some blogging about homeschooling in Belgium that was scary. Ze govt wuz crackin duwn on ze homeschoolin swine!
Sorry I cant remember where I was reading it but homeschoolers were ordered to give the govt authority for extensive inspections, which of course, becomes a witchhunt to seize children from their parents.
Its just more fun with Socialism and another excuse for "private property" seizures!
Kerry was Imus's candidate because even Josef Stalin would be supported by the appeasement crowd.
Peace with Hitler could have worked if we only gave it a chance (and we could have split some quaint Eastern European countries with him).
ALL BOGUS COMMENTS by JOHN BROWN THAT ARE IMPERSONATING "THE BEAK" WILL BE DELETED from THIS SITE.
FREEDOMNOW WILL ENFORCE a ZERO IDIOT POLICY in this REGARD.
HAVE a NICE BLOG...
thank you, fern.
if the librarian cannot censor, who may?
and i hope you also know that it looks as though you're talking to yourself.......
that is not beak. could be the effervescent weazl - fern, check your ip checker and see if that post did not come from finland. that's where weazl posts from and he likes impersonating well-known and loved posters - that's why he doesn't impersonate ME!
Its John Brown,
Look for RR communications off a Mac computer, out of Brooklyn at this time of night. During the day its usually a Windows XP from NYC.
Freedomnow
This may seem funny but his parody of me is saner then Brown's usual material. His actual blog has no readers because the content is dreadful.
This may sound funny but John Brown's satire speaks a basic truth.
Commies are mental patients and should be confined and treated. Most of us do hate appologists for genocidal tryanny except Brown.
Yes my blog is super cool and you are jealous. It eats you up inside because you can not get a single reader or a coherent post.
Toil in obscurity and waste your life while others live it.
Freedom Now,
I'm aware of what's going on with homeschoolers in Belgium.
I haven't always worked with homeschoolers. I spent some 25 years in the classroom, five of those in the public-school system. I left the classroom, from a small private school, when my father became terminally ill and needed me as caregiver. Family first!
After Dad passed away, I had a request to teach a small group of homeschoolers. Now, I'm teaching some 15 classes a week. The money is not great, but I get by and love what I do.
Homeschooling has its drawbacks. But I'll say one thing for it, from my perspective--discipline problems are nearly nil. After all, the students' parents are present for the classes.
I do have a few colleagues who are breaking down the Leftist propaganda machine from the inside. But that's hard to do in a large system, and they have to tread very carefully.
This is very exciting. An imposter! His second comment was deleted.
I will continue to delete the Bizarro Beak wherever he rears his ugly head.
Warren, I can confirm Brown's RR-NYC account... Thats a roger, dodger.
AOW, its nice to hear you have friends on the inside of the gulag system. This way they can pass messages to the free world.
i'm glad it wasn't the weazl. perhaps he learned his lesson at fpm when he impersonated mahdi.
FN,
One of my friends on the inside just made principal. Yee-haw!
I am working on a special post for you AOW. It should be ready by tomorrow night, but you probably wont see it until Friday morning.
Hey Nanc,
Whats the scoop on Weazie and Mahdi? You always got the lowdown...
he spent an entire evening posting under mahdi's name, but put a "-" in front of it and was saying the MOST outrageous things - anyway, i picked up on it early and tried to let everyone know it wasn't mahdi and he just kept posting rubbish. finally the real mahdi came in and tried to change things and it went on for hours - the moderator was gone and it wasn't fixed until very late or the next day.
beak was there and i believe flo was also - it was a train wreck. weazl is a little hyper so it is easy to pick up on his nonsense. he would post under several names and i could spot him a mile away because he had certain terms of endearment for me. we're on neutral ground now and i really must go see what he's up to sometime.
i don't believe that is rightminded anymore than i can fly of my own accord. gtf out of here - you're busted.
He is a sick one alright! You are not welcome to e-mail me, you are spam, sam!
tmw
AOW,
I am taking longer than expected on that post I promised you.
I iz workin' on it...
fern - i don't think that is the original rightminded as he spells his name with a capital "R" - i know he's not particularly fond of you, but i believe that guy was an imposter. he did a number on madze also. r.m. even thought it may be i who pulled this number on him.
The comment by the person claiming to be "rightminded" has been deleted.
It was originally posted on the morning of June 22nd and since the authenticity of the comment is in doubt I deleted it.
FN,
I'm not holding you to any particular schedule.
Now there's an election that will make you want to start your own country:
Pick ONE:
( ) John Effing "The Clown" Kerry
( ) John "Sound-Bite" McCain
I vote Kerry over McCain, on the basic that at least Kerry admits he's a Democrat.
Mr. Pres-elect, you're right, vote for the leftista who at least is honest about it! Then you know what you're getting! McCain has been running for office since he was in short pants. IMHO!
Good morning and G*D bless!
tmw
Personally, I'm hoping Newt Gingrich runs so I don't have to.
I wouldnt vote for that traitor Kerry for anything in the world, but Mr. B would be a good candidate.
Where do I send my campaign contribution?
Beak will have to be campaign manager, dats fer sure!
Oh geez, I forgot to plug my second favorite candidate.
Condi Rice
It would kill the Dems to see the nation's first black person and first woman to become president was a Republican.
Americans for Dr. Rice: Condi for Prez
she's single also. she's a triple threat!
please check your e-mail.
Oh, youre right that Murtha is just barely a notch above Kerry, but I cant imagine voting for Cut -n- Run Murtha. I'd rather vote for a write-in or not vote at all.
I can only vote for Murtha if we were to go up to the next level. Murtha -vs- Osama bin Laden. Then I would have no choice but to vote for the Retreating Appeasement Bunny.
yeah, well, i would vote for barbra streisand, but only if she were running against hitlery, butt - and that's a big butt - i think i'd vote for hitlery if the vile martin sheen were in the mix. otherwise i may just start my own country.
oh, and one more thing before is go - i'd NEVER vote for richard simmons - a man in his sixties in hotpants does not sit well with nanc.
Well, as I told a dem campaign worker, "I will never, never, never, never vote for a traitor!" So, I would have to do a write in, or vote the Constitution Party!
Good morning and G*D bless!
tmw
fern, we are fortunate especially in light of this:
